After his Ph.D. He worked as a Researcher at Indian Social Institute, New Delhi. For a brief period, he taught in Lungnila Elizabeth College of Social Work (Manipur). He had been ICSSR Post-Doctoral Fellow (2017-2019) affiliated to Manipur University. Before joining IIAS as Fellow he taught in the Social Work Department, Assam Don Bosco University (Assam).
