Research Project Tribes of Arunachal Pradesh and their literature in Hindi
About: Dr. Abhishek Kumar Yadav completed his higher studies from Allahabad University and Jawaharlal Nehru University. He holds an M.A. degree in Hindi Literature (2008) from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi. He was conferred with the Doctoral degree in 2015 by Jawaharlal Nehru University for his thesis titled 'Tribes of Jharkhand and Hindi Novels: Struggle for Identity and Existence'. He has a keen interest in the culture, politics, and literary underpinnings of India's tribal societies. Fiction literature as well as fiction in various Indian and foreign languages is his field of study. His book titled 'Jharkhand: Andhere se Sakshatkaar' was published in 2016. This book explores the life and culture of the tribal of Jharkhand and its relationship with Hindi literature.  Since 2012, he has been working as an Assistant Professor in the Hindi Department of Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh. His articles have been published in many reputed Hindi magazines and Journals. Besides his academic commitment he actively worked with the students’ union in the capacity of Vice-President of JNU Students’ Union.

Presently, he is a Fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla since July 2019 working on the topic of 'Tribes of Arunachal Pradesh and their literature in Hindi'.
