| About: Dr. Vandana Sharma 'Diya' is a renowned scholar of Advaita Vedānta Darśana. She was awarded "The Swami Pranavananda Philosophy Book Award 2020" at the Asian African Philosophical Congress 2020 for her translation and commentary on Ādi Śaṅkarācārya's legendary work "Praśnottara Ratna Mālikā," published by Original Publications, Delhi. In October 2021, her book "Śāṅkara Vedānta for Environmental Harmony" was published by Motilal Banarasidass Publications, Delhi, receiving appreciation from former Vice-president of India, Shri M.Venkaiah Naidu. Literary Mirror listed this work among the top 100 Indian books. In May 2023, her scholarly work "Nature's Wisdom: Indian Philosophical Insights" was published by Chaukhamba Sanskrit Sansthan, Varanasi.Currently a Fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla, Dr. Sharma has been a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Indian Council of Social Sciences Research (ICSSR) and a Junior Research Fellow at the Indian Council of Philosophical Research (ICPR), under the Government of India. She conducted independent research under the Ministry of Culture for the Kedarnath Dham. Additionally, she represented India at the "World Congress of Philosophy 2018" held in Beijing, China. Her research paper titled "Vedic Averments for Cosmic Environmental Tranquility," presented in China, earned recognition from Australian philosopher Peter Singer.For more information please Click Here. |
