Guest Fellow
The Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla (IIAS) also has scheme of Guest Fellow under which eminent scholars are invited by the Institute for three months to deliver a lecture on a theme of their choice. In addition, they also use the rich library resources of the Institute and interact with the Fellows and Associates of the Inter-University Centre for Humanities and Social Sciences. No fellowship amount will be paid during fellowship.
A Guest Fellow is entitled to reimbursement of travel expenses (Air India economy) within India only and local hospitality at Shimla. The Guest Fellow is also required to make the manuscript of the lecture delivered available to the Institute so that it can be published in any of the Institute’s journals or uploaded on its website. An honorarium of Rs. 5000/- is to be given after publishing of the lecture.
