| About: Prof. Debika Saha is retired Professor from the Department of Philosophy, University of North Bengal. She did her Ph. D from Jawaharlal Neheru University, New Delhi. She did her Post-Doctoral work on Justice under Prof Mcbride from Purdue University, USA. She worked as Director in the Department of Women's Study, University of North Bengal. She worked as Associate in IIAS Shimla also in the years of 2001,2002 and 2004 in the month of June. Under her guidance seven students received Ph. D already. And three more are waiting for final viva. She is a much traveled person. She visited Riga University in connection with Husserl and Heidegger's anniversary. Besides that She visited Catholic University of USA and as a member stayed there and studied in different western philosophical issues. She is a regular member of World Congress of Philosophy which is used to be held every five years. In connection with that She presented papers in South Korea, China and other European countries. Recently in the month of August She was invitedl to present paper in Sapienza University, Italy in connection with 25th World Congress of Philosophy. She took part in the round tables of Gender and Post humanism and Indian Philosophy also. She has in her credit many national and international publications. She is a life member of Indian Statistical institute,Greek Association of Philosophy. She visited Greece many times in connection with conferences. She has visited the islands of Samos Pythahorean Island, Kavala and others in connection with Conferences. |
